Teaching American History Grant Workshops

President Lincoln’s Cottage is pleased to provide customized program experiences for recipients of Teaching American History grants. Education staff will work closely with your group to plan a unique session in which educators explore President Lincoln’s time at the Cottage by examining primary sources from the period, the Cottage’s historic grounds, and the home that he loved so much, in a session that is tailored to meet the needs of your educators and TAH grant focus. We also encourage you to consider pairing a visit to President Lincoln’s Cottage with a visit to the following members of the Civil War Washington Museum Consortium: Ford’s Theatre Society, Frederick
Douglass National Historic Site
, and Tudor Place Historic House and Garden.

Cost for this specialized program is $35/teacher with a minimum of 10 teachers. Meals are an additional cost.
